Founded in 2007 by the partners of the Far Niente winery in Napa Valley, EnRoute is the result of their common passion for Pinot Noir. After purchasing and replanting a 20-acre apple orchard near Graton, in Sonoma County, the partners decided to acquire the Amber Ridge vineyard, and establish a winery dedicated to capturing the magical essence of this amazing grape variety. Les Pommiers Pinot Noir takes its name from an abandoned apple orchard that was located near the Northern Spy Vineyard, where the grapes come from. This wine shows a beautiful ruby color. It is rich and silky with a fragrant bouquet of dried rose petals and berries, raspberry jam, and blackberry aromas. In the mouth, it is a juicy, full, and round wine with accents of cloves and undergrowth that can be glimpsed up to the finish. The tannins are ripe and perfectly integrated. The acidity is lively and extremely balanced.
